Q: What  is the difference between +2 and 2+ while dealing with red-ox reaction?

Ans:    +2 represents the oxidation number which is the apparent charge or hypothetical charge appears on an atom in a molecule or in a compound while 2+ represents the real charge on a chemical specie after giving two electrons i.e. Zn(s)   ---------------->Zn2+   +     2e-
